The 4th of July parade has been a Wakefield signature event since 1922. In 1991 the Wakefield Independence Day Committee (WIDC) was created by volunteers dedicated to continuing this annual town event which welcomed participants and spectators from near
and far. With the support and participation of sponsors and volunteers, we can produce another stellar parade! Planning parade acts and raising funds go side by side.

Sponsors have various benefit levels as shown on the benefits chart. Checks can be made payable to “Wakefield Independence Day Committee” or “WIDC” and sent to P.O. Box 1746, Wakefield, MA 01880. For more information about sponsoring or donating, contact barbara.worley@julyparade.org
