Join us for the 2025 Wakefield Fourth of July Parade

 

A cherished tradition bringing our community together since 1922! Celebrate patriotism, community, and everything that makes Wakefield extraordinary. The parade begins at 5:00 PM at Lakeside Office Park, North Avenue, to Church Street, to Common Street, and through to Main Street concluding at Galvin Middle School.

We would like to thank all the people and organizatioms that made this years parade possible

The People of Wakefield, The Town of Wakefield, Wakefield Emergency Management Team, Wakefield Police, Massachusetts State Police, Middlesex County Sherriffs Office, Police and Safety personnel from surrounding communities who assisted WPD, Wakefield Fire, Wakefield DPW, Wakefield Town Council, Cataldo Ambulance, West Side Social Club, Our Sponsors, Wakefield Cable Access Television, Wakefield Farmers Market, The residents and businesses along the parade route for allowing us to close the streets without complaint, All of the Acts that shared their talents with our community, and to all the volunteers of the Wakefield Independence Day Committee, a huge amount of gratitude. The Wakefield Independence Day Parade is a must-attend event for marching bands seeking a premier performance opportunity. With thousands of spectators lining the two mile route through Wakefield's historic streets, this is your chance to shine in front of one of the most enthusiastic crowds in New England.

 

Located just 10 miles north of Boston, Wakefield offers bands the perfect hub for an unforgettable East Coast tour. Participating groups can explore historic Boston, perform

We’re seeking local and area-wide talented street performers and non-musical acts to join the excitement. Whether you’re dance group, Chinese Dragon, juggler, stilt walker,
mime, magician, or any other captivating act, this is your chance to perform before a massive, enthusiastic audience.

 

This application section also includes the historical reenactor groups and individuals that make the parade patriotic and fit the 2025 “Celebrate July 4th in Wakefield!” theme.

This is your chance to shine! Whether you’re a community group, local business, or creative enthusiast, your float could steal the show in this New England tradition. Floats
can be judged and win contest in two divisions: Non-Profit Organization and Business.
