AN INVITATION TO
CELEBRATE OUR NATION’S BIRTHDAY
Dear Friend,
On
behalf of The Wakefield Independence Day Committee, I am writing to you,
your group, business, or organizations to enter a float in the
Independence Day Parade. We are encouraging civic, social, youth, and
veteran’s organizations to show their national pride, and join in the
celebration of the anniversary of the founding of the United States of
America, by entering a PARADE FLOAT in the PARADE.
Unfortunately,
last years numbers of float entries were minimal. However, I am optimistic
that this year’s community support and effort will yield more float
entries. NO organization is too small... NO float is too small...please
help us exceed last years turnout!!! And remember, the fun and community
pride you will feel in building an Independence Day float, is extremely
rewarding just ask anyone who has participated in the past!!
Prize money is available
to non-profit organizations that win the theme and or float decoration
contest. Refer to second page for more details.
Be sure to bring up the
idea of entering a float in the Fourth of July Parade at your next
meeting. Talk it up!!! Help the Independence Day Committee, while sharing
in Wakefield's community pride
The
DEADLINE for entering is July 2nd at 8:00 PM there is plenty of
information on these flyers, but if you have any questions, please
call 781-944-4277. I will be happy to try and help you with any
questions regarding your PARADE FLOAT. Also, Please feel free to come
to a meeting of the parade committee. We meet (May and June) every
